Accessibility Statement
1. Scope
pme Familienservice GmbH is committed to making the events calendar accessible to as many people as possible. The legal basis includes the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD), Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the German Disability Equality Act (BGG), and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) in their respective valid versions.
This statement applies to the web application provided at https://events.familienservice.de (event search, event details, booking form).
It does not apply to content from third-party providers that is accessed via external links.
2. Compliance Status
The events calendar is currently not fully accessible and does not yet fully meet the requirements of WCAG 2.2 and BITV 2.0 (EN 301 549).
We have been working on accessibility over recent months. Many previous barriers have been resolved; some remain (see section "Non-accessible Content").
3. Non-accessible Content
The assessment is based on an accessibility audit from August 2026 and ongoing internal testing. The following areas are known to us and are still being addressed:
- Some texts and graphical elements do not meet the required contrast ratio against the background. | WCAG 1.4.3
- In some cases, visually hidden but keyboard-focusable controls are present. | WCAG 4.1.2
- Event texts, images, and media are provided from editorial sources and are not always fully prepared for accessibility in every individual case.
- Embedded maps, media, and external content may introduce additional barriers that can only be influenced to a limited extent.
- Language changes are not always sufficiently marked. | WCAG 3.1.2
- Not all user interface controls meet the minimum target size of 44 x 44 pixels (AAA). | WCAG 2.5.5
- Some content is visually hidden but still reachable by screen readers in reading mode.
Accessibility is an integral part of our ongoing development. Known barriers are being addressed step by step.
4. Preparation of this Statement
